BOBIC Generational Wealth — The Origin Stories of my new venture and how it all started

4 min readMay 17, 2025

While I officially began working on my new venture, BOBIC Generational Wealth, in January 2025, its foundation was laid nearly six years earlier. At that time, I was primarily an investor, celebrating successes with two unicorns: CHILIZ, a sports and crypto company I exited at a $1.5 billion valuation that peaked at $4.5 billion; AIG from Singapore, which peaked at $2.5 billion; and Hopium, a sports car company that went public and peaked at $700 million.

Everything was on an upward trajectory until the COVID-19 pandemic struck — a profound shock that accelerated the global shift from offline to online business models. Already invested in digital-first companies, with ventures in gaming, AI, fintech and algorithmic trading, I recognised immense opportunity but also saw the critical need to share knowledge on scaling online businesses. This inspired me to write Atomic Scaling, published in March 2024, which launched a global speaking tour from China to Turkey to Europe and USA.

The second pivotal moment came in October 2024 during one of this speech that brought me to Austin, Texas. Engaging with tech entrepreneurs who had relocated from California, I sensed a deeper transformation beyond the offline-to-online shift. We were entering an era defined by macroeconomic and geopolitical upheavals between China and the U.S., a transition from traditional finance to decentralized finance via crypto, and the rapid rise of artificial intelligence (AI).

Conversations with visionary tech entrepreneurs, part of Elon Musk’s new circle in Austin, crystallised my vision: AI would usher in a new age of abundance — a renaissance some call “Fully Automated Luxury Communism.” Yet, before this future unfolds, significant disruption and chaos are inevitable.

Elon Musk has discussed the concept of a “Universal High Income” (UHI) in several public appearances, highlighting his vision of a future where artificial intelligence (AI) and automation lead to unprecedented economic abundance. Watch on Youtube: https://youtu.be/P2N26-vXLUE?si=5J93xjIgJwjJE690

The Two Functions of BOBIC

  1. Creating Wealth Through AI and Algorithmic Trading:

BOBIC uses AI and expert algorithmic trading teams to grow wealth through a variety of digital asset strategies, while our decentralized platform provides secure access to capital and enables wealth sharing.

2. Redistributing Wealth to Mitigate Transitional Chaos:

Recognizing the challenges ahead, BOBIC empowers communities — including future generations of families — to collaboratively guide wealth growth and legacy. Our governance tools support community-driven resource sharing, fostering “Communal Wealth.” We are building the pathways to realize Elon Musk’s Universal High Income (UHI) through AI-powered wealth creation and shared redistribution.

Exchanges with experts from Citadel, Bitmain, Microsoft AI, Goldman Sachs, Coinbase, and visionaries like Balaji Srinivasan have shaped BOBIC’s approach, starting with family offices.

Balaji Srinivasan, former Chief Technology Officer at Coinbase and founding general partner of the crypto division at Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) is also our fearless leader at Network State and Network School — where I spent a month on his island nearby Singapore.

Why Family Offices?

Family offices manage roughly $11 trillion for the world’s top 7,000 families but typically allocate only about 1% to crypto, mainly Bitcoin (58%). Many seek greater, more sophisticated crypto exposure beyond Bitcoin alone.

BOBIC partners with leading algorithmic trading teams to offer AI-powered strategies tailored to family offices, aiming to boost returns and manage risk according to each family’s profile.

Industry leaders like ICONIQ Capital ($90B+ AUM, serving several ultra-high-net-worth individuals like Facebook co-founders, Zuckerberg & Moskovitz) and UBS Wealth Management ($3.4T AUM) confirm growing interest. Amy Lo, UBS Wealth’s Head of Alternatives, notes family offices are now targeting 5% crypto allocations. Watch on Youtube: https://youtu.be/00CaiPJiVeY

The Ladder of Wealth Distribution

BOBIC envisions a transformative ladder of wealth distribution:

  1. Top: Sovereign wealth funds
  2. Middle (BOBIC’s current focus): Family offices
  3. Lower Rungs: Corporates, from SMEs to giants like Apple, Tesla, Google
  4. Base: Retail investors and the general population.
BOBIC envisions a transformative ladder of wealth distribution: from SWF to FO to SME and Individuals.

Governance and On-Chain Endowments

BOBIC enables families and communities to create on-chain endowments, trusts, or foundations for purposes like legacy preservation or disaster relief. This democratizes philanthropy, allowing transparent, rapid mobilization of resources worldwide.

For example, a Utah community might fund their church, while others support global climate initiatives — building a new cultural and financial ecosystem that combines impact with sustainable returns.

Conclusion

BOBIC is a global, participatory platform harnessing AI and blockchain to create and redistribute wealth across generations. Starting with family offices, it aims to expand to sovereign funds, corporations, and retail investors-pioneering a new paradigm of generational wealth and lasting impact.
